Story
Get to Know Us
The Recovery Coalition was formed to bring together the recovery community in Montgomery County and to foster rehabilitation in those still struggling with addiction. A strong support system is critical to continued recovery and reaching one's full potential. As one person in recovery stated, "Getting off the drugs was not easy. Learning all there is to know to be a functioning adult in society can be an even bigger challenge." The Recovery Coalition has created the Recovery Rec Center to promote recovery, community, fellowship, and growth for those in recovery.

12 Step Program
The 12-step method is a proven recovery framework designed to help individuals overcome addiction and behavioral challenges. Rooted in mutual support and personal accountability, it encourages self-reflection, spiritual growth, and the development of healthier habits. By working through the steps in a supportive community, participants gain tools for lasting recovery and a renewed sense of purpose.

SMART Recovery
SMART Recovery is a science-based, self-empowering support program that helps individuals overcome addiction and harmful habits. Using evidence-based tools, it focuses on building motivation, managing urges, and managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to create a balanced, fulfilling life. Providing practical strategies for lasting change.
Meetings are held at the
Recovery Rec Center on
Mondays at 12:30 PM and
Fridays at 6 PM

Peer Recovery Coaching
Peer recovery coaches walk side by side with individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. They help people to create their own recovery plans, and develop their own recovery pathways.
It is completely free and
walk-ins are always welcome

Events
Our recovery center hosts a variety of events to support and uplift our community. We offer All Recovery meetings, free meals, and complimentary haircuts to help individuals feel their best. Additionally, we provide free Hepatitis C and HIV testing to promote health and well-being. Beyond these services, we organize recreational activities to build connections, foster joy, and create a sense of belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.

Parent Cafe
The Parent Café is a welcoming space where parents can come together to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in raising a family. Held on the second Thursday of every month from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Recovery Rec Center, the café offers a free dinner, supportive discussions, and free childcare for children during the event. It’s a safe, casual environment designed to foster connection, provide encouragement, and strengthen family bonds. Pre-registration is encouraged for dinner and to enter a prize drawing.
